Here is a layout I did at a recent crop. I love to cuttlebug my title letters.. Just love how it looks. I cut them out, these are from CM, Cheerful seasons, I then put them into the Xyron to sticky them up.. lol then before I pull them off to stick on page, I run the whole slip of letters through he cuttlebug, then I peel and stick! I used the dots from the Sizzix dots and flowers 2 pk embossing folders. I have to say that Sizzix does do a deaper emboss. Sometimes thats a goodie, and sometimes you don't want as deep as an impression on things, so you might want to take it into consideration. I used the tree branches cuttlebug folder for the mat under the smaller pics. I know you can't see much of it, but I do like it around the pics as a border.
What a great layout, Kel! I love it. Looks like a great family day!! I love cuttblebugged letters as well. It really makes the letters pop. I am so loving that "branch folder", it fits perfectly on this page.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love the look of it! :)
ReplyDeleteI never think to use my xyron machine! It sits all lonely down in a drawer that rarely ever gets opened!! Thanks for reminding me what I can do with it! Love your layout!!!! I gotta get me that branch cuttlebug folder! Love it!
ReplyDeleteGreat lay-out! I love how you embossed the letters!
ReplyDeleteLOVE it! I agree the sizzix folders do give a deeper embossing! I also heard if you dampen the paper a bit before you emboss, it will give a deeper impression:)
ReplyDeleteoooo sorry for a double comment I just saw the "wood" under the pics! tooooo cute!
ReplyDeleteLove your layout. The forest branches folder gives your frame a real wood look. Love it!! I've got to get me one of those Xyron machines. I've been trying spray adhesive, but it is such a pain. Thanks for helping me expand my ever-growing scrapping list! :-)
ReplyDeleteI frequently forget to use my cuttlebug to emboss until it's too late. It always adds to the design. I like thw branches as the backup to the pictures. The dots help the letter stan out. Love it, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteFantab LO, Kel!! I love the wood border and the embossed letters. I have to remember to try this!
