Laurie's latest challenge

Good evening ladies, Kel and I are on a challenge roll. So we figured we just keep on going. I did this page for two different challenges. The first challenge is, http://getyoursketchon.blogspot.com/ . I love this blog because each week they have a new challenge layout. Go on over and check them out. The second challenge is for, http://www.creativecutter.org/ for this challenge you have to have a bug on your layout. I think the butterflies fit the bill. They are giving away a cricut cartridge. Go on over and check them out as well.

I actually stitched on my page. I just got the W R Memory Keepers Sew Easy Piercer. Let me tell you I love this new tool. It works awesome!! I got it over at HSN, and I can't even sew a button, and look at the stitch I did!!

Here is what I used to make my layout:

DCWV Linen Closet Stack

Butterflies are cut from Sentiments cartridge the big one is cut at 3" and the smaller ones at 1 3/4".

I used the Tim Holtz Alterations folder on the circle.

The letters are from Dajaview self adhesive.

ANOTHER CHALLENGE - By Laurie

Good evening!! I did another challenge (I told you Kel and I were very busy getting our challenges on!!). I did this challenge for two challenges, http://scrapourstash.blogspot.com/ this is a great blog with fun, fun challenges and make you scrap your stash and http://getyoursketchon.blogspot.com/ . They are a fun bunch over there and offer different sketches every week and fun prizes!! So this is my take on the sketch. Not the best timing on my part (doing this page), as my poor Patriots lost last week and are out of the running, so sad. I love me some football. This is my and hubby at a game. Well we were actually a store near the stadium after the game, letting the traffic go.

I did the banner use the Sports Mania cartridge. I used the Design studio to weld it together and then use George and the Basic Shape for the letters. I decided to use white paper as my background and then I glimmer misted a bit of blue.

Challenges done by Kel and Laurie

The weekend has arrived. Woohoo!! Kel and I got together last night and did a few challenges we will show the others through the week. This one is due today. We entered the challenge over at http://papercraftstar.blogspot.com/ You have to use at least two of the following colors, and two of the following, ribbon, embossing, stamped image or die cut. Kel is also entering her card over at http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/

This is Kel's take. This card is soo cute. She used brown's and blues and die cut the butterflies, embossed the little blue strip and stamped on the butterfly. I love, love this card. The polka dot paper is from DCWV Linen stack, such an awsome stack. The blue paper is StampinUP! Great job, Kel!

I chose this because I am going to entering it in another challenge (will show during the week). I choose the blue and the pink and I embossed the little cup. I used a Tim Holtz folder, they really cut deep, some places actually ripped and this is StampinUP! paper. This is from Tags, Boxes and more cart. I inked the edges of the cup and used this little friends die cut.

I also entered my cute little cup over at http://magchallengebythepage.blogspot.com. This is an awesome blog that you use your cricut carts for the challenges, great fun!
