BACK IN THE DAY, Day 4

I didn't go way way back in the day for these photos, but I did go about 5-6 years back. Back to the days when my son couldn' t get enough of fishing with his dad....peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and kisses from mom in public. Now.. at almost 19, he's in college eating big boy food, lol...he traded his fishing rod in for a long board and if I kissed him in public he start to scream "stranger in my personal space" and have me arrested.. LOL. To be honest, hearing his amazing fishing adventures feels like it was last weekend...boy time flies.

BACK IN THE DAY WEEK - Day 3

Good morning fellow scrappers! I hope all is well in blog land. This week is school vacation for our kids and I am on vacation too!! Such a nice week!

I am working on painters tray, this is my first one so I am learning as I go. This is a picture of the entire tray. As you see the middle square is empty. Still trying to figure out what to put there. Maybe the word Legacy, or Past?

The first square is my Mother, my Grandfather and My Great Grandfather.

The second square is my Grandfather in Brussels During WWI.

The 3rd square is my Grandmother at the World Fair in New York in 1932!

Most of my papers came from Graphic 45. They have such awesome, awesome vintage stuff. Of course some of the embellishments came from Tim Holtz; the clock and the clip. Some embellishments came from Graphic 45. I bought all of these a local scrapbooking store.

BACK IN THE DAY WEEK, DAY 2

Here is a great canvas done by Dawn. She purchased the canvas frame at a local craft store. She began by painting it all over with Modge Podge. She then placed her torn papers down and covered it all again. The Modge podge acts like glue and covers your work with a nice shiny smooth cover. I watched her put this together and it's a fun project if you're thinking of trying it. I adore this picture of Dawn and her siblings and if you've seen any of her layouts here that her son and daughter are in, I bet you would agree with me that they look just like Dawn and her brother from back in the day. I want to say that the title and flourish are rub ons.. but dont quote me and Dawn can clarify that for us. I love to see old family photos and this is a great way to display them !

Good morning everyone!! Kel and I had so much fun with our very first blog hop. Thanks again Rhonda, you did a fantastic job getting this together!! We have a chosen a winner via Random.org, a big Congrats to Judy over at http://athomewithjudy.blogspot.com/ please go on over and check out her blog, so much fun and awesome work. Judy please email me, lbaires@comcast.net and we will get the vinyl out to you. Welcome to all our new followers, we hope you will hang around!! The theme this week is back in the day week. Kel and I (and Dawn) have a bunch of pictures from back in the day and are trying to get them scrapped. These are pictures are of my Mom. I think she was 6 or 7 in the photos and they are two of my favorite pictures of her. This is crinkly ribbon I got over at http://craftspotbykimberly.blogspot.com/ I first saw this ribbon on Kate's blog and fell in love with it. Customer service is awesome, I ordered on Thursday and had it by Saturday and I had to use it. I just love. This little tag came from the K& Company Life's Journey paper stack. Awesome stack!! All the paper I used on this layout came from that paper stack. The ribbon under the picture is from Graphic45 Vintage Ribbon, Heritage Cricut Cart, page 47 was used for the Mother title. The flowers are from my stash. We have some fun, fun projects to show you this week. Thanks again for joining our blog hop!!
