Tis the Season!

It's coming!!! Only 60 days left .... till Halloween! I bet you had visions of sugarplums dancing in your head, didn't you? Well, that is coming, too, but we have to get through a couple of other things first, LOL. I made a prototype for my Halloween cards this weekend. I send out about 15 to family and friends, so I try to keep the design simple and easy to mass assemble.

So Much Newness!!

Good morning, all! Hoping that all of our East Coast friends are safe after the wild weekend from Hurricane Irene. We were lucky in our neighborhood; lots of wind and a few downed branches, but nothing like some other places saw. Thoughts and prayers going out to them as they start cleaning up.

Today is full of new things here at SS. As you can see, Laurie and I played with the template and design last night. We had quite a few laughs while doing it! Laurie starts her new job today; Kel is moved in to the new place and is having fun unpacking boxes; and I am helping out with the blog. Total blogging noobie, so I am going to apologize in advance for any weird formatting or other things that show up! ;)

Today is Laurie's husband's birthday, too! He is always helping my hubby out with things around our house and is such a nice guy. This is the card that I made for him from my family. You have seen some of my cards with this little owl guy before. I just love him!

TAGS AND BAGS WEEK, day 5

A cute tag I did for my daughter Amanda's friend. She is always looking over my scrap stuff when she visits and told Amanda that she was "dying for me to make her something Twilight" So, here it is.. Yes, it's a character from Twilight... LOL. However, I thought it was such a cute idea to do for a boy for a bday bag tag and put the childs/teen/adults name up the side or across top. This stamp is from Greetings Farm, they have lots and lots of cute cute stamps. I colored it in using sparkly gel pens. In the story, this character actually sparkles, lol so I thought it would be cute.
