CARD TIN ALTERING PROJECT AND MATCHING CARD

Here is the tin before we altered it (SEE SUPPLY LIST BELOW). We used sheer white ribbon. To add color we decided to run chalking ink over the ribbon, pulling ribbon as we inked. (note: ink the ribbon first and set to the side to allow it to dry).

We cut four strips of paper, the paper we used on the bottom half o the tin was cut at 3x12 (note you may have trim a little bit.). The top pieces are cut at 2x12. Apply with your favorite adhesive. We found it easier to start on the side or back to hide the seams. You can start with the top pieces.

We decided to alcohol ink the top of the card tin, to add color to the white top. When then added the ribbon to the middle of the page.

We then spelled out the word CARDS, and alcohol inked them and put on brown cardstock. The cardstock was measuring at 1 x 2.25. We of coursed inked the cardstock. We cut ribbons at 8 inches and double knotted them on the handles. We used roughly ten ribbons, you can can use as many as you like. We varied our colors.
We made a matching card with our scraps using the Just Because Cards Cricut Cartridge, using page 57. The words come from page 62.

Here is the inside our our card. And of course the finished project!! Have fun and go forth and alter!

I have finished my challenge, in the nick of time. I used The Paper Pups Cartridge to cut out all my circles. I used some left over dog paper that i had and used on the side piece going down and the two little pieces. I had a chipboard tag that I covered with just plain white paper did my journal on. I inked most of my edges. The title is orange letters and I traced with a blue glitter pen to make the letters pop!!

WELCOME FOLLOWERS and BORDER IDEAS

These were fun. They are the Wishful Borders Collection from Creative Memories I got them as a free gift from my consultant at a recent crop. I love the colors and the ease of getting a border together in a matter of a minute. I added the lettering and I inked edges and sent a few things through the cuttlebug for texture. I even made one journal block with the set too. You can leave plain, add more, add less, the choice is yours! You get an instruction sheet along with set if you need inspiration But weither it's CM or your own creation, have fun making some borders and send them this way if you do!

ANOTHER EASY PEASY FLOWER

The cut is from the scallop Nestabilities put through the cuttlebug. I used the two middle sizes. side by side. The key is to stack the paper. It is just dictionary pages that way your're not running the same die cut over and over.. it's done in one crank this way!! I scrunched it up then I inked with "old paper" from Holtz and marachino cherry from QQ. I ran some lil swirl/stems with a white gel pen and did the same to the black buttons in middle. The rest of the layout I kinda went rougue lol. It's like artsy meets vintage ..I mean whats with the bow? LOL.. but you get the idea .. LOL

FUN FLOWER TO MAKE

I ORIGINALLY DID THIS LAYOUT WITH A DIFFERENT FLOWER FROM A CLASS I TOOK, BUT I LIKED THIS ONE BETTER.

I USED THE FLOWER #34 on the OVERLAY from WEDDING/MARIAGE CRICUT CARTRIDGE

I CUT A STRIP OF OFF WHITE PAPER 3 1/2 x 12" AND DID CUTS STARTING AT 3" then going down a 1/4" in size each time. Doing 4 altogether.

THEN I CRUMPLED THEM UP ANY OLD WAY

THEN I OPENED THEM UP TO SEE IF I NEEDED MORE CRUMPLING AND GOT OUT COOL CHALK I GOT FROM QUICK QUOTES I LUB LUB THIS COLOR! Marachino Cherry

I INKED ALL ALONG EDGES MAKING SURE TO STAMP THE INNER CREASES OF SMALLEST FLOWER SINCE IT'LL BE ON TOP

THEN I JUST STACKED THEM OFFSETING THE PETALS A BIT AS I WENT FROM BIGGEST TO SMALLEST, I DIPPED A WHITE BUTTON IN THE SAME INK COLOR. I TIED A KNOT IN A PIECE OF TWINE & ADHERED WITH A GLUE DOT...and THAT'S ALL FOLKS!

CHALKING on STAMPS

I just lub these little guys. I'm a Twilight fan and these two guys look like the two main characters Edward and Bella. This will make for some fun pages for my daughter who is a much bigger fan! I'm not much of a stamper or a chalker, but this was fun! I got the stamps from Greetings Farm and to apply the chalk I used Q-tips and these cotton "craft" applicator balls I got at the CK convention. I still need some practice, but I think my pages may have some "chalky" new looks. I'll post the final page when I'm done!

The die cuts are from silhouette. This card was done for a friend who like some gamblin fun! Fun to do!

4 Challenge by Laurie

Ok Girls, I finished my challenge. Ironically they are pictures from Alex's 4th birthday. Go figure!! All about 4 this page. I used the coordinations paper for the first time. Oh my, I think this is my favorite paper now! I just love it. Cuttlebug is the yellow paper. I got a close up of the yellow paper. I inked that embossed paper to make it pop. I actually scrapped on a Wednesday night!!!

COOL IDEA FOR CHALK

"You can chalk on black & white photo's. Just print the photo in black and white on matte paper not glossy, use your chalks to enhance certain things on photo. You can add some pink to cheeks or maybe red chalk to the lips, or even color on clothing depending on the picture. let set for a day before adding lay out to album" THANK YOU Chalk4ever ON SCRAPBOOK.com for this great tip/ technique. I'm going to give it a try! Anyone else? Let us know.. have fun!

My favorite number is 4. Soooo...I was thinking. How about we do a page with 4 PICTURES, 4 COLORS and 4 TEXTURES. I know that in the world of scrapbooking that odd numbers are the way to go..but I'm feeling rebeleous! Lets take 4 to the next level!! Good luck!
