RAK - Day three

Hello again!  I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!!   Here is ANOTHER thank you card I had to make.  This one is for my son's friend's Mom.  She is also a photographer and took pictures are her house of all of the kids on Prom night, then put the pics on CD"s for all of us, so sweet!!

Dawn's card had more a vintage feel, withe the colors I chose. I wanted a more modern feel for this one.

I use all the same cartridges and Stamp set - just different colors and you have a totally different feel.

Heritage and Accent Essential Cricut Carts
Swiss Dots Cuttle Bug Folder
Recollections paper for the car itself.
My Creative Time Stamp Set - Teen Tiny Greetings

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

RAK -Take Two

Welcome back for day two.  I figured I would leave Kel's card at the top of the page, so you can see what I scraplifted.

I made this card for Dawn, and she is our "official" photographer.  She came over the night of my son's Junior Prom and took awesome pictures for us.

I used:

Heritage Cart- Page 46 cut at 3.25" and then shadowed for the camera
DCWV - Tattered Time
Kraft Paper
Accent Essentials for the scallop  - page 77 cut at 3.50"
StampinUP - Not Quite Navy Card Stock
I used a flowery Cuttlebug Folder to cuttle bug the scallop
Fiskar scallop punch
My Creative Time Teeny Tiny Greetings Stamp Set

Thanks for the comments, they really do mean  a lot!!

More Pa Pages (I have a long way to go)

Here is a fun page I did of Pa and his Granddaughter.  She is very artistic so I wanted to give it an artistic feel.  Each heart is a chipboard heart, covered in different mediums.  One is Mosaic tile, the other is twine and the other is paper with modge podge over it.  The word PA was cut from the Heritage Cartridge.

Pa's birthday gift (all about Pa this week)

Top O' the morning to ya (said in my best Irish brogue). I am feeling a wee bit Irish today (or perhaps just crazy from the lack of sleep). As promised I am posting the gift I made for my dad. It is so hard to buy him anything because he has everything and buys what he doesn't have. He posted these pictures on Facebook from a party that all of his brothers were at (a rarity) and I thought I am going to do something with that picture. So here is it is.

I bought some new paper from Cosmo Cricket and then started tearing it (Kel move right there) and I used Coordinations paper and sanded that down to give it a vintage feel. Magic Mesh from StampinUP! and Brothers is cute from Heritage Cartridge.

I bought a frame at AC Moore and done!
My dad is the one on the far right with the cowboy like shirt, hence Dawn's card from yesterday. The man is born and bred in Massachusetts moves to Texas for the winters and thinks he is a cowboy!

Back in the day week and updates - Day1

Good morning everyone!! Kel and I had so much fun with our very first blog hop. Thanks again Rhonda, you did a fantastic job getting this together!! We have a chosen a winner via Random.org, a big Congrats to Judy over at http://athomewithjudy.blogspot.com/ please go on over and check out her blog, so much fun and awesome work. Judy please email me, lbaires@comcast.net and we will get the vinyl out to you. Welcome to all our new followers, we hope you will hang around!! The theme this week is back in the day week. Kel and I (and Dawn) have a bunch of pictures from back in the day and are trying to get them scrapped. These are pictures are of my Mom. I think she was 6 or 7 in the photos and they are two of my favorite pictures of her. This is crinkly ribbon I got over at http://craftspotbykimberly.blogspot.com/ I first saw this ribbon on Kate's blog and fell in love with it. Customer service is awesome, I ordered on Thursday and had it by Saturday and I had to use it. I just love. This little tag came from the K& Company Life's Journey paper stack. Awesome stack!! All the paper I used on this layout came from that paper stack. The ribbon under the picture is from Graphic45 Vintage Ribbon, Heritage Cricut Cart, page 47 was used for the Mother title. The flowers are from my stash. We have some fun, fun projects to show you this week. Thanks again for joining our blog hop!!

Challenge time - by Laurie

Good afternoon Ladies! I hope you are having a great Sunday! Here is a shocker, it is snowing again here in New England! Will it ever end???????
I decided to enter this page in a few challenges. I am trying to get better about the challenges, there are so many great ones out there.

This is the sketch over at http://getyoursketchon.blogspot.com/

This my take on it. I turned the sketch a bit to fit my pictures

Close up of the cuttlebugged frames.

Close up of the Tim Holtz Adage Tickets, Ideology collection. I also cuttlebugged this little guys, using the Divine Swirls folder

The other challenges I am entering these are as follows:
http://thepapervariety.blogspot.com/ - sew on the page. Faux stitching or real. I did both, I sewed the strips of paper and then faux stitch on the title.
http://scrapourstash.blogspot.com/ - use the word love, or a tool you love or someone you love. I love my two guys and actually used a love ticket.
http:/fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com - emboss on the page http://lindascreativity.blogspot.com/ - emboss on the page and use the cricut as well.
You will have to check out all these blogs, they have awesome challenges!!
What I used to make the page:
StampinUp! paper, the blue, Recollections Gemstone - the blue and green that are picture frames, Heritage Cart - Sons title - Cuttlebug folders - Heritage Collection (they have folders that match cricut cartridges, I love that), that was used from the frames, Divine Swirls for the ticket. And my Sew Easy Tool for the sewing.
