So relaxing..........

Happy Tuesday!!  I made this card for my neighbor, who also happens to be Kel's sister-in-law.  She LOVES lighthouses and this weekend is her birthday.  I am not even sure what they call this card, a step card?  I went on you tube and found a video on how to make this card.  I believe the woman's name was Patty Penn.

My recipe:

Life's a Beach Cartridge - the lighthouse and the seagulls
DCWV - Tahiti Stack - the paper that look likes sand and added some glitter pen to make it look read
Water paper from my stack - made the waves with my fiskar wave punch

That's it!! So easy and I sure she will love it. I will stamp the inside with a happy birthday saying.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.  Laurie

50th Male Birthday Card

Over the weekend, Dawn had a 50th birthday party for her hubby and Kel and went with our hubbies.   We had a great time, eating and talking and just relaxing!!

I made this card for Dawn's hubby, he has been fishing a lot this year, so I thought this was appropriate.
My recipe:

Child's Year Cartridge - Page 38, the little fishing guy with the pole, cut at 2 1/2" and shadowed.
Fiskar's Wave Border punch - used three different blues from my stash for the waves
Life's a Beach Cartridge - page 58
Cricut Keystone 1.50" for the number 50
Kraft paper

I hope he liked the card!!

Locker Talk for the Graduation Cap
Kraft paper
DCWV Tahiti Stack for the patterned paper

Andrew said his teacher loved the card!!  Have a fantastic weekend!!!

Beach Fun.......and a thank you!

Hello everyone.  Sorry we have been MIA. End of the year stuff is killing us.  Kel's youngest just graduated High School, yay Amanda!!  Dawn and I still have kids in school until Wednesday.  So we are busy trying to get everything done.

This past weekend Kel and I were lucky enough to get away to Cape Cod for the weekend.  My cousin has a cute little cottage and she let us (and my sister and my cousin) use it for free for the weekend!!  We had such an awesome relaxing weekend.  Just what we all needed.

Before I left I made my cousin a thank you card.

What I used:

DCWV Tahiti Beach Stack for the base of the card and for the word patterned paper
Fiskars wave punch
Life's a Beach Cartridge - chair cute at 2.5
Re'collections paper sanded down
My Creative Time Teeny Tags (Thank you)
StampinUP!  Hodgepode for the little paper clip
StampinUP! Magic Mesh (my last piece, so sad)

I have to say I was quite please with the outcome.

Have a great day everyone and thanks for stopping by!!!

Non Traditional Christmas Card

Here is how the conversation went. I asked my son what his teacher's favorite animal was. I said pick one from one of my Cricut Cartridges and I will make him a card for Christmas. He said his favorite is the shark. He loves, loves sharks. I said, I don't think that will make such a great Christmas card. He said, put a Santa hat on him. So that is what I did. Here is the finished project, lol!! Shark cut from Life's a Beach and Santa hat from Everyday Paper Dolls!! Too funny!!

Another Fun layout

Hello everyone!! Thanks so much for your comments yesterday, we love all our followers!!

Here is a fun layout I did of my oldest (who is now 16). I love these pictures of him. We were at Sea World in Florida, I think, and the most fun he had was a small little playground in Sea World!

I used Life's a Beach Cartridge to cut the pail at 2" and I cuttlebugged the sand. The pattered paper is from StampinUp! It all came in a kit. I love anything StampinUp!
