TRY THESE FOR THE FIRST TIME, OR AGAIN!

Cut out your title letters in patterned paper!
Pair colored photos with black and white!
Use ribbon or string around your focal point photo!
Print your pictures with a white border around instead of matting in color!
Lay velum over patterened paper to mute the colors a bit!
Tilt your photos slightly to creat "movement" on your page!
Use some "fun scissors" (ie: pinking shear..zig zags) and cut a strip of paper then use that as a template to trace a border!

Use brads for bullets on your pages!
Have fun!
Thank you

COOL IDEA FOR CHALK

"You can chalk on black & white photo's. Just print the photo in black and white on matte paper not glossy, use your chalks to enhance certain things on photo. You can add some pink to cheeks or maybe red chalk to the lips, or even color on clothing depending on the picture. let set for a day before adding lay out to album" THANK YOU Chalk4ever ON SCRAPBOOK.com for this great tip/ technique. I'm going to give it a try! Anyone else? Let us know.. have fun!

POLAROIDS...Did you know??...........

A photo that develops before your eyes! They have improved, but are still very prone to fading in light. Due to the nature of most of the prints, they should NOT be cropped. Cropping may result in chemical seepage which will damage the print and may be harmful to your hands and eyes . Hmm, so I'm thinkin' good thing for scanners! Thanks Lifetips for this tip!

PAGE MAP IDEA

I saw this on SCRAP-MAPS.com Perfect for that Easter family pic. I chose it because I'm a fan of tearing paper, and I liked it because I find adding ribbon a challenge. I normally think of adding ribbon when it's too late and I'm sitting there with it in my hand with no idea on where to put it on my l/o. LOL. Here is one I'm going to try. Happy tearing & ribboning everyone!

AHA! NOW THATS A GOOD IDEA!

I got this tip from Cardztv..please visit below...I love this blog! This may seem simple, but to me was an aha moment.. LOL. Mary, the blog owner was doing a Q&A and somebody asked her how she chose colors..more specifically solid colors. She said that lots of time's she just goes to any patterned paper that's already printed and takes the color combos they used! She usually uses 3 of them. One color she pulls and uses mostly, then a second not so much then a third just to accent. I thought this brilliant..DUH! LOL. I mean I've tried color wheels, scraplifted, done it blind.. but NOW.. i will just flip through my favorite eye catching patterned paper and use the combos that somebody else dealth with putting together.. LOL! I'm so dang creative!

TIP

Lace a strip of ribbon through punched holes along one side of the border to create a pretty-looking page accent. Anyone tried this?? Sounds like a cute idea

TIP

TIP: Use a lint roller to pick up little baby pieces of paper and such off work surfaces, self and rugs! I just "lifted" that idea off ProvoCraft site. Makes sense to me :) -Kel
