FUN FLOWER TO MAKE

I ORIGINALLY DID THIS LAYOUT WITH A DIFFERENT FLOWER FROM A CLASS I TOOK, BUT I LIKED THIS ONE BETTER.

I USED THE FLOWER #34 on the OVERLAY from WEDDING/MARIAGE CRICUT CARTRIDGE

I CUT A STRIP OF OFF WHITE PAPER 3 1/2 x 12" AND DID CUTS STARTING AT 3" then going down a 1/4" in size each time. Doing 4 altogether.

THEN I CRUMPLED THEM UP ANY OLD WAY

THEN I OPENED THEM UP TO SEE IF I NEEDED MORE CRUMPLING AND GOT OUT COOL CHALK I GOT FROM QUICK QUOTES I LUB LUB THIS COLOR! Marachino Cherry

I INKED ALL ALONG EDGES MAKING SURE TO STAMP THE INNER CREASES OF SMALLEST FLOWER SINCE IT'LL BE ON TOP

THEN I JUST STACKED THEM OFFSETING THE PETALS A BIT AS I WENT FROM BIGGEST TO SMALLEST, I DIPPED A WHITE BUTTON IN THE SAME INK COLOR. I TIED A KNOT IN A PIECE OF TWINE & ADHERED WITH A GLUE DOT...and THAT'S ALL FOLKS!

COOL IDEA FOR CHALK

"You can chalk on black & white photo's. Just print the photo in black and white on matte paper not glossy, use your chalks to enhance certain things on photo. You can add some pink to cheeks or maybe red chalk to the lips, or even color on clothing depending on the picture. let set for a day before adding lay out to album" THANK YOU Chalk4ever ON SCRAPBOOK.com for this great tip/ technique. I'm going to give it a try! Anyone else? Let us know.. have fun!

PAGE MAP IDEA

I saw this on SCRAP-MAPS.com Perfect for that Easter family pic. I chose it because I'm a fan of tearing paper, and I liked it because I find adding ribbon a challenge. I normally think of adding ribbon when it's too late and I'm sitting there with it in my hand with no idea on where to put it on my l/o. LOL. Here is one I'm going to try. Happy tearing & ribboning everyone!

TECHNIQUE: alcohol inks & gypsy

This was fun. On the vellum I used Alcohol inks. It is easy, fun, and fairly cheap after initial expense. You use tiny drops of ink, so they last a long long time. I will post pics of how I did the inking in the near future. The bottom border was created using my gypsy. Welding is such fun and really changes the look of things!
