BUTTONS AND BOWS WEEK

Here are some cards with the same bow technique sent to me by my SIL. She is a cardmaker, but thought we could use the same concept on our layouts. I was thinking I'd try this on my next page on the inside layer instead of brads next time.

Here is a gorgeous card from Carri over at a Abusy bee. Click on her badge to the right to go visit. This is what she had to say about this little guy. "I used create a critter for the bird, swiss dots to emboss her wing, my scallop punch, some bling for her eye. This paper is from a swap that I did with a friend, the ribbon and flowers are from my stash, stamp is from punny-licious! I think it is so cute! " Thanks for scrapping it forward Carri!

KICKING UP POLKA DOTS AND PASTELS

Good morning all! Here is an Easter Card that I did, and it has both polka dots and pastels all in one. I was so happy when I found this.

The polka dot pastel paper is Heidi Grace Design, Shimmer Flocked Paper Baby/Dots. The polka dots are flocked, so cute.
For the bunny and the Easter Basket, I used Stretch Your Imagaination Cricut Cartridge, page 37. The ribbon is stamping up ribbon.

The sentiment stamp is one of those clear stamps.

The blue card stock is of course StampinUP! I think brocade blue.

TAGS AND BAGS WEEK, day 5

A cute tag I did for my daughter Amanda's friend. She is always looking over my scrap stuff when she visits and told Amanda that she was "dying for me to make her something Twilight" So, here it is.. Yes, it's a character from Twilight... LOL. However, I thought it was such a cute idea to do for a boy for a bday bag tag and put the childs/teen/adults name up the side or across top. This stamp is from Greetings Farm, they have lots and lots of cute cute stamps. I colored it in using sparkly gel pens. In the story, this character actually sparkles, lol so I thought it would be cute. I have two other tags to post later, so stop by :) Twilight fans can check my other blog at CraftyTwilightMom.blogspot.com.

SIMPLE SWEET 16 CARD

This is was easy peasy. I grabbed a sheet of stickers I got from Creative Memories. They are clear-ish...real pretty. I grabbed some off -white paper, inked the edges (I am addicted to inking edges..lol). I glued on some colorful ribbon, (It needs a bit more glue) I added stickers and added Crytal Stickles (Yikes, not a big fan.. I need a stickles class..lol) I think the entire card took me about 10 minutes. Stickles took me all night.. LOL.

SIMPLE THANK YOU CARD

Here is a cute and simple card. The blue, dots and green are SU papers. My friend Susan gave me the card already done with the papers . I added the dimentional sticker and some paper ribbon from Creative Memories, three bling dots to hide a mistake. LOL and thats that. Simple, easy. Having a stack of cards already with the foundation papers on it is great! You can file them by color themes and just pull out a "template" when u need a card. Works for me. I'm not a huge card maker, lots of you gals prob. already do this and I'm not as brilliant as I think.. I think? lol.

OLD SCHOOL WEEK

Good morning bloggers!!

We hope you had an awesome weekend. I am finally on the mend and feel like a human again!!

Kelly and I were brainstorming on what this week's theme should be and we decided to kick it up old school "style" and step back in time. We thought we would show some pre-Cricut creations. What was the scrapbook life like before we had the Cricut? Since we here at Serenity Scrappers are fairly new the Cricut we have a lot of pages/cards that do not have anything Cricut on them (gasp, we know)!!

So sit back and enjoy the pre-Cricut selection we have. Also, we would LOVE to see yours as well. If you want to share, please send it either Kelly or myself at the following email addresses:

achildinmind@aol.com - Kelly
lbaires@comast.net - Laurie

to make sure you get in on it!

FEEL BETTER

Hello bloggers.. just to letcha know, our friend Laurie has felt a bit under the weather lately and although she'll prob kill me for this, or just simply pull this post, LOL. I thought it would be nice if you ladies stopped by to leave a quick get well for her.

POT LUCK WEEK 2

This was always a favorite of mine. This is my daughter just kind of being herself. She took all the pictures herself. They are plain and simple, but I had seen the idea of cutting them in a triangle-ish type of shape and thought it was a really good idea to take kind of everyday "fun" pics and make them even more fun by putting them down in an out of the norm way. I only tossed on a few embellys because the pictures did all the work! Try punching out your pics with a large punch, tearing your pics or taking a bunch of pics and taping them down in a fun pattern!

HEY GANG

I'd love to say I haven't posted lately because I'm at CHA, but I'm not Shucks! Anyway, I'll be back later with something, my schedule has been crazy crazy lately. See you in a bit!

NEW SWAP

1.To participate, please email Laurie at LABAIRES@cisco.com to let her know.
2. We will cap the swap at 12 people.
3. It is a holiday swap, any holiday item goes.
4. To participate, you would get together 3 holiday "items" of ur choice, per baggie, per participant. Example: I'd do 12 of the above baggies.
5. Then you would send your 12 baggies of 3 items ea. in it to Laurie, with a self addressed stamped envelope. A lil extra postage if you can, just in case whats coming back is a bit heavier than what you sent.

And thats it! Laurie & I will do all the separating and mail out. In the end, everybody would get 12 packets of "surprises" each with 3 fun and different items in it. Buttons, bows, brads, punch outs, diet cuts, bling, cut outs, stickers, a card, lace, a border, rub-ons, etc. Whatever, as long as it has to do with a holiday! Have fun, use your imagination! If you participate, you'll need to get ur items to Laurie by 8/20.
