Nautical thank you

Good morning fellow scrappers!!

Here is a card I did for my Uncle and his new wife. We spent the day on their boat, they fed us  and showed us a great time!! We really had a great day.  I thought I would wipe them up a thank you card for their generosity.

My recipe:

Life's a beach cart - steering wheel and anchor, both cut at 1.50" and layered
Martha Steward punch around the page punch for the two windows
Water paper from my stash that you can see through the windows
Crinkly Ribbon
Fiskars wave punch

Hope you like it.  Have a wonderful day and week!!!  Laurie

Next week is Recycling week!

Kel and I were talking about how much "stuff" we have that we don't use.  We challenged ourselves to use products that we had to have, but that we haven't used in a long, long time.  This little guy is from a cartridge I got from Dawn, Mini Monster's, that I haven't used ever!!!

Kelly's hubby had surgery on his eye today, so I had to whip this up for him. I love the little patch.I knew he would be coming home with a patch and he has such a great sense of humor, I knew he would like it.  The paper is from WR Memory Keepers, Nonsense (a stack I had to have, that I haven't used in a long, long time).

Tune in next week for Recycling week and see what fun projects we have and a "recycled" prize!!

Have a great weekend!!!

Sweet Friends

Good morning everyone.  Boy is it hot here in New England!!  This is my last day of vacation, so sad!!  I made this sweet card and will enter it in two challenges:
http://diecuttindivas.blogspot.com/  where you have to follow the sketch and
http://www.creativecutterroom.com/ where you have to have a chick or chicken on the card.

Here is the recipe for this card:
Card Base - Tim Holtz Core'dinations - Adirondack Collection
All other papers are DCWV Cotton Blossom Stack
Just Because Cricut Cartridge - Page 30 - Shadowed and flipped
Buttercup Crinkle Ribbon from http://craftspotbykimberly.blogspot.com/
Making Memories Twine
My Creative Time Teeny Tags Greetings, http://www.creativetimeforme.com/
Divine Swirls Cuttlebug Folder - I used this for the wings because the cart didnt' have any layering.  It wasn't easy to do such a little spot, lol!

Hope the week ahead a good one!!

RAK - Day three

Hello again!  I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!!   Here is ANOTHER thank you card I had to make.  This one is for my son's friend's Mom.  She is also a photographer and took pictures are her house of all of the kids on Prom night, then put the pics on CD"s for all of us, so sweet!!

Dawn's card had more a vintage feel, withe the colors I chose. I wanted a more modern feel for this one.

I use all the same cartridges and Stamp set - just different colors and you have a totally different feel.

Heritage and Accent Essential Cricut Carts
Swiss Dots Cuttle Bug Folder
Recollections paper for the car itself.

RAK -Take Two

Welcome back for day two.  I figured I would leave Kel's card at the top of the page, so you can see what I scraplifted.

Hippity Hoppity Birthday

Happy Rainy Tuesday.  Looks like rain all week here in the Northeast!  Here is a birthday card I did for Dawn's little guy for his birthday.  He loves, bugs, and frogs and snails.  So I found this frog paper, DCWV, I just purchased two sheets from Michaels.  The frog is from Create a Crittter and Birthday wishes is from My Creative Time Stamp set, Teeny Tags. I love that stamp set.  Of course my favorite kraft paper and Fiskar's scalloped punch.  Have a great Tuesday!

Over the hump........long way to go!

Sorry we have been MIA!  Crazy days lately.  Dawn's hubby was in the hospital for about a week and he finally came home today.  He still has a long road ahead, but he is one strong dude and he has a great support system!!!

I made this card (with the help of Kel) for Dawn to help lift her spirits.  Dawn's mother-in-law was an avid crafter and we inherited a lot of her awesome supplies. I wanted to use some of them on the card, to make it special!  The gorgeous blue paper is from Noni's stash as well as my most favorite stamp, ever!!  The keep smiling it from My Creative Place!  Love those stamps.

Please keep Dawn's hubby in your prayers for a speedy recovery!!

Working on an album for Pa!

Hello everyone!  Anyone that has been around our blog for a while knows that "Pa" is my Dad and he makes cards and scrapbooks!  He also makes awesome doll houses!  Well he is turning 70 in June and I thought what can I get the guy that has everything?  Then it hit me, he loves, loves taking pictures and he posts a ton of them on Facebook. I snuck on and downloaded some of his pictures and I am going to make him an album!!

Here is with his Mom (94 years old, when she passed about a year ago) and his grandson, my nephew. This will be page 1.  Only 19 more to go!!

For this page I used:

StampinUP! Not Quite Navy Card stock
The blue paper and the circle are from a pack I bought that was already cut into shapes.
StampinUP Permanent Parade for all the stamped banner
Missing You Stamp and the Tag (its a die cut, sooo cute) is from My Creative Time, love this!!
The letters are from Tim Holtz Alternations - Typeset
The flower is most of my stash, except the bottom silver layer, it is a cupcake holder that I cut!  I saw that trick in the Scrapbooks Etc. Magazine!

Thanks for stopping by!!
