MAINE CROP DOUBLE 12x12

Here is a double 12x12  I  did of my kids having fun at their grandmothers.  She was laughing all the way and kept saying how much she loves to see them having fun together and how much they love each other.  They truly are BFF's.  We lost my Mother in Law over the Christmas holiday so I thought I would do this page as a remembrance of her enjoying her grand babies ) that day.

I went pretty glittery with these pages from stuff I had in my stash.  I got the layout idea from Page Maps

MORE MAINE CROP LAYOUTS

Here is a 12x12 I did of me and my hubby.  We were away and sitting down waiting for somebody and my daughter pulled out the camera and said "say cheese"  and here it is.  I normally shy away from pictures, but I'm glad I grabbed my hubby and got this one.
I saw this quote in a scrapbooking  magazine and loved it. Me and  hubby have been together for 30 years.

CROP LAYOUTS WEEK

This is one of the layouts I did at the recent crop me and Laurie went to in York, Maine.  We had lots of fun with 32 other ladies at a hotel by the beach. Maine is very cold in the winter, but with paper, embellishments, load of laughs and endless pickies, it warms you up real quick!

I thought this saying went great with the pictures my daughter took when she was goofing around.  I  printed the quote on glossy photo paper for fun.

I'm really bad at taking notes of where I get images, sorry.  I wasn't sure how it was going to work with the busy paper against the busy paper but I liked it.  The papers come from my stash.

ONE MORE VALENTINE!

Here is a cute little Valentine I did for my daughter.  She just loves owls.  I used the Create a Critter II cartridge.  I just love the little heart wings :)

Valentine's Day Week....Day 4

Wow, day 4!  Kel and I were very busy with our Valentine's day cards!!  I again saw this one on You Tube! You Tube has some awesome paper crafting ideas!!  Here are a bunch of cards I made with different patterned papers going along the side. I took off 1 1/2" from the front of the card. I cut 2" of double sided patterned paper and adhered that from the inside out as seen above.

I used red from my stash for the base of the card,
K&Company KP Valentine's Designer and Specialty Stacks
The cupcake is cut from Celebration Cartridge
Trendy Twine Berry
Stamp is from my stash

Welcome to Valentine's Week........

Good Monday Morning!  We hope you had a great weekend and have today off!!  Here is a card that Kel did at our crop. This card was made in like 5 minutes!!

Kraft paper for the base, Creative Memories heart punch for the hearts and washi tape and the stamp is from our stash and its done!! How cute is this card.

We saw this card in a magazine that Kelly brought to the crop and figure it would be a quick project and although most projects don't end up that way, this one was!  This card layout can work for any occasion and look just as smart!  Easter, birthday, St. Patty's day so many options as the Washi tape comes in so many different fun and different patterns and the best part its self adhesive.  More to come on Washi.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Friday and GO PATS!

Happy Friday, Fab Followers! We have a long weekend to look forward to! AND our New England patriots are in the AFC Championship game at home this weekend! Life is good! I thought I would share a quick page of my son to get us pumped for the game. He is almost 8 now, so he looks very little to me in this picture! I love this Bo Jackson quote and it fit perfectly with the picture of the hat that my son used to wear all the time. Everything is from my stash. I am trying really hard not to buy any new scrappy supplies and use what I have. The quote and the patterned paper are from Rusty Pickle. The Patriots decal was in my stash, too.

We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend and that you get to have some creative time of some sort. GO PATS!

And so it begins......the unpacking from the crop!

I finally cleaned out one of my bags from last week's crop.  We pack so much and then we have to unpack, lol!  Kel and I really had a great time and I got 20 pages done, my son's entire High School Football album and about 15 cards, so I did well.

I made this card for a girl that is turning 13. I won't mention any names because her Mom reads this blog, lol, its for Dawn's daughter.

My recipe:

StampinUP! paper for the base
Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder for the brown paper
The Patterned paper I bought on Scrapbook.com (awesome sight, when you buy patterned paper they send you and email with ideas on how to use it!!) The paper is from Imaginsce Hello Cupcake Collection
Both frames are cut from the Just Because Cartridge
The Present is from Celebrations cartridge
Twine and bling are from my stash

I also wanted to mention to those that have the Cricut, if you haven't already you have to down load Cricut Craft Room, its free and works awesome!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a great day.

YORK, MAINE CREATIVE MEMORIES SCRAPAWAY WEEKEND!

We had sooo much fun at our weekend crop in Maine.!  We stayed at a hotel that is on the beach.  Even though its not summer swimming weather, it's still nice to watch the crashing waves.  I just love that sound!

This was the bestest card!  Laurie made this for me and gave it to me when we got to the room.  So sweet!

Our Hostess made these cute little name tags for us.  I stuck mine on my X, lol,
We sure  had plenty of food to snack on.  This table grew as time went on too!  There was an entire fridge packed with all kinds of goodies as well!

Scrap Happy Sketch

Happy Friday, all! Kelly and Laurie are off to their weekend crop! I can't wait to see everything that they get done. I am sure they will be sharing with us when they get back.

In the meantime, my friend, Lain of Scrap Happy, had a challenge to use a sketch that I decided to try. I loved using this sketch for this picture of my family on the Expedition Everest ride. We are the four in the back of the car. Notice how tightly I am hanging on to my poor little guy - I didn't want him flying out of the seat! The little journaling flags worked great for listing out bullet points about the ride and what we thought of it. I replaced the title circles with little tags from Leaving Prints that I have had in my stash forever. (I am trying so hard to use some stuff up and not buy!) The gears were from Oriental Trading and the metal snowflake is Tim Holtz.. I even found some Making Memories rub on letters in my stash for the word "Expedition"!

If you have a chance, check out Lain's other site, Layout A Day. She has a great event coming up in February called LOAD213 (LayOut A Day - Feb 2013). It is a no-pressure, fun month where Lain gives a prompt every morning to get you scrapping. You can use the prompt to kick off a LO or go in whatever direction you want. No pressure to actually get a LO done every day, but if you do, there are usually some fun things in store! I did part of her LOAD512 last year in May, but couldn't finish it because of a family emergency. I determined to get a boat LOAD of LOs done this time! Come join us, if you can!

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Tag your it.....

Good morning everyone!!  I hope everyone's week is off to a good start.  Kel and I are counting the hours till our scrap weekend!!!

Believe it or not this tag is 10" x 8" big!!  Our company has a basket raffle at work. Each department comes up with a theme and then buys items to fill the basket.  We put the basket on display and we buy raffle tickets for them and put them in the basket we want to win. All the money we collect for the baskets goes to charity. So its a win win.

Our theme was Reader's Delight. We bought a Kindle Fire, Amazon gift card, a cozy blanket, two mugs, some hot chocolate, two bottles of wine and some wine glasses.  I was in charge of buying it all and I thought  let me put a tag on it and list what is inside the basket. I will list that on the smaller tag. (Once the basket is done I will post a picture)

My materials:

Big and small tags from - Tags, Bags, Boxes and More - Kraft paper for the tags
The little people reading the book and the word read - Graphically Speaking
Readers Delight - stamped from Alphabet stamps I got at Michaels.
The black paper with the letters was the inside of my Kindle box that I saved, because I loved it so much!
Ribbons and flower from my stash.

I am sure our basket will be a big hit.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Last of my Christmas cards

Good morning!  I hope everyone had a great weekend.  I can't believe another weekend gone!!

Here are three cards I made for my son's teachers. He is in 7th grade and has a lot of teachers!  I didn't take pictures of the other cards, I think I was in a rush (shocking, during the the holiday season to be a in a rush).
Kel didn't understand my first card with the little snowlady and her balloon.  I thought she was soooo cute.  The card with the snowman and coffee cup we made for Andrew's teacher that loves coffee!  That was Andrew's idea.

Make it a great Monday.

So Beautiful!!

Good morning, Happy New Year!!!  I had to share this AWESOME gift I got from Dawn.  It is a clear block, altered (of course).  She made the absolutely gorgeous bow. The colors are amazing.  She used vinyl to cut out Family.  The picture inside is of me and my siblings, she took the picture from Facebook.  How clever is she??

Dawn made one for Kel and our friends Susan and Cheryl.  They all love the beach, so they have sand and seashells in the block, so awesome.

Thanks, Dawn!!  It was a big hit among my family and I know Susan LOVED hers as well.
