Good afternoon fellow swappers (is that even a word??),
We wanted to let you know that we have 10 participants in the Christmas swap.
The swap will consist of:
1 standard Christmas card 4.25 x 5.0
1 3-4 inch Christmas tag
We are making 1 card and 1 tag per participant. So you should be mailing 10 cards and 10 tags. They can match, but don't feel they have to. Feel free to use your creativity.
Here are some basic rules:
1) You must include a self address stamped envelope if you don't, we can't mail the swap back to you.
2) Please mail the swap to Laurie by 10.17. Please email Laurie @ lbaires@comcast.net to get her address.
3) Have great, great fun.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Kel and Laurie
Yay! I'm so glad I was able to sneak in at the last minute. Thanks Laurie. I'm a newbie to this whole swap thing so I have just a couple of quick questions...
ReplyDelete1. How much postage do you think we should include on the self addressed envelope? I don't want to short the postage. What type of envelope do you recommend we use?
2. To clarify, it's a standard 4.25 x 5.50 card, right? It says 5.0 above, but 5.50 on the right.
Thanks! Can't wait to start working on my cards.

Woo hoo! Let the fun begin! Can't wait to see what everyone creates!
ReplyDeleteWhat I do for swaps because I am usually last minute lucy is priority mail - that way it is a strong envelope too, and then I include that same postage and envelope for the return...if it fits it ships so there is never an issue of it being too heavy.
ReplyDeleteAnother school of thought is to include an additional standard stamp (how much are they now? $.44?) on top of what it costs to ship yours so if it is too heavy on the return that is like insurance. If not used it is normally returned.
I'm so excited! This is my first time swappin with you girls and I just can't wait. One question I had is are all the cards and tags supposed to be the same? Thanks for lettin me join!
ReplyDeleteQUESITONS? JD..Yeppers, a standard card, and as far as postage, Tara has an good idea with the priority mail or usually the rule of thumb is to put the same amount of postage on the return as it cost you to mail out. Ms. Jen, they can be different if you wish. As long as you have fun in the process of what your projects are :) I tend to do the same for all mine because coming up with one idea is challenging enough for me. LOL. However, people do have things in their stash they want to use and may not have 10 of something. Lets say you have 3 stocking stickers and 7 santa, 6 red cards, 4 green....that's fine, it's not going to be a big deal. As long as they are christmas themed, that's fine.
ReplyDeleteMs. Jen. I am sorry about that typo you are correct 5.50!! Good catch right. I also agree with Tara. You put on the same postage you use when sending out the package to me, and add a stamp,or do it priority. Totally up to you.
