Good morning Scrappers!!! I hope all is going well on this lovely Friday. As we wrap up Home Decor Week, I wanted to show you a layout and a card I made.
First the card. I decided to keep with the "home" them and make a card for our troops (God Bless them and keep them safe). This card went together soo easy. I used Blue StampinUP! paper for the standard A-2 card. The Welcome Home is from My Mind's Eye as well as the the little red star, self -adhesive. The hardware is from StampinUP! Can you tell I love StampinUP?
Here is a view of the inside of the card. I use the Cricut to cut out some images. I used Graphically Speaking page 43 - I cut the USA at 1 3/4 and the Freedom jumbled word at 1 1/4
Now to the layout. I took a picture of the outside of my house and the decided to put my journaling to work. Dawn and I took an awesome class from Big Picture Scrapbooking (see their website below a great place to take online classes), the class we took was thinking outside the box with journaling. So you take a look at the pictures you want to scrap and really think about what the pictures means, rather than just saying, here is Johnny's 1st birthday his friends were there and everyone had fun. You delve into the actual meaning of the picture. I wrote what this house means to me and how long it has been in our family. Once you start writing you wouldn't be able to stop!!
I used a inkadoo clear stamp with versa mark and stamped the borders, I then embossed with white embossing powder. I cut white StampinUP! organdy ribbon and
placed in between each stamp.
Here is my favorite Tim Holtz Grungeboard, Ideology, Harlequin Elements, that I just inked

The paper I used was, DCWV - Glitter stack for the black and white going across the page, the black cardstock is DCWV LaCrem
Gorgeous... Very very nice work there!! Lots of work there.. I love it all, thanks for sharing!
