TIPS, TOOLS AND TECHNIQUE WEEK - DAY 2

Good morning ladies! I thought we would show the fastenator today. I love this tool. There are so many different staples you can buy for it, different colors and shapes.

On this page I used them in the corner to give the page a finished looked. The fastenator can into a 12x12 page right to the middle of the page, so it is very verstile. If you have something you want to staple in the middle of the page you can do. I also tried to get a close up of the staples I used. I really love this tool and need to pull it out and use it more.

TIPS, TOOLS, TECHINIQUES and STUFF!

Ibought these this weekend and decided to use all three on a project. The GLOSSY ACCENTS is COOL. I put it on the orange part of the diamonds. It's hard to tell, but it dries clear and makes it look wet and puffy. It would be perfect for a cake with dripping icing or a beach page to make a wave look wet. I used the FINE POINT GLUE PEN to stick down my sentiment. It worked great because it didn't bleed through the white paper. I used the MINI GLUE DOTS to hold down the bat which is made of felt and regular white glue or mono would have been a disaster. Oh ya, and I got that cute lil witch stamp at ac Moore for 77 cents!

ANOTHER CHALLENGE ENTRY

This fantab layout comes to us from Jean's Crafty Corner I absolutely love this because black an white and anything is my fav. color combo!

Here's what she had to say about her layout : "I made this layout using the Gyspy Wanderings for the title, I layed ribbon and bows up the side and then used mini buttons in black and white to make a frame around the picture. The picture also has a black matt that I did faux stitching on with a white opaque pen. The paper is called linen white and black and has a neat texture to it, but I am not sure how well you can see that in the picture"

Here's a 12x12 I did of a pic of my daughter when she was just a lil girl. I put lil button brads down side up left side and in the ric-rack down bottom and a big button for the "O" in dolly. The butterflies are embossed using the Fiskars shape boss.. funn stuff!

BUTTONS AND BOWS WEEK, Day 4

" I used the Wild Card Cartridge for the button frame and the large buttons! All the rest is from my stash! This will be the last time I do that frame!! It took me forever to bling it up!! I used brads, eyelets, string, hemp, real buttons, and gems! "

Here's a layout I did using a kit.This is a picture of my daughter being kinda goofy..which is totally her when she takes pictures. I forget where the kit came from sorry :( But I added flowery brads up top and the little button brads down the bottom as well as the pink ribbon and bows and i added the butterfly stickers.

Here are some cards with the same bow technique sent to me by my SIL. She is a cardmaker, but thought we could use the same concept on our layouts. I was thinking I'd try this on my next page on the inside layer instead of brads next time.

Here is a gorgeous card from Carri over at a Abusy bee. Click on her badge to the right to go visit. This is what she had to say about this little guy. "I used create a critter for the bird, swiss dots to emboss her wing, my scallop punch, some bling for her eye. This paper is from a swap that I did with a friend, the ribbon and flowers are from my stash, stamp is from punny-licious! I think it is so cute! " Thanks for scrapping it forward Carri!

KICKING UP POLKA DOTS AND PASTELS

Good morning all! Here is an Easter Card that I did, and it has both polka dots and pastels all in one. I was so happy when I found this.

The polka dot pastel paper is Heidi Grace Design, Shimmer Flocked Paper Baby/Dots. The polka dots are flocked, so cute.
For the bunny and the Easter Basket, I used Stretch Your Imagaination Cricut Cartridge, page 37. The ribbon is stamping up ribbon.


The sentiment stamp is one of those clear stamps.

The blue card stock is of course StampinUP! I think brocade blue.
