Cameo Background cuts

One of the big things that attracted me to the Silhouette Cameo was that I could cut background shapes for 12x12 layouts. Here are a couple that I did this weekend.
For the Beach layout, I used this phrase shape, then inked the edges of it. I also made an outline of it and then used the negative space to make the patterned paper seem to outline it. The shells are stickers that I have had in my stash forever.

On this layout, the title, as well as the fire fighter emblem were cut with the Cameo. I think I got the journaling stamp in the dollar bin at Michaels. The little fire department ID came with the outfit that my son is wearing in the picture.

  1. GORGEOUS.. these are great Dawn!! I am sure I will be asking you to cut me a "beach" one! Love it! You're little fireman is a handsome guy :) The Cameo sounds like fun, I'll have to come on over and watch it in action!
