I focused on the airport and the actual flight in these layouts from out trip last year. It was my kids first time on an airplane, so I just had to scrap it! Everything on them is from my stash, except for the cool airplane patterned paper that I got from Scrap Your Trip (trying hard not to buy new supplies! Not easy!)

Cameo Background cuts
One of the big things that attracted me to the Silhouette Cameo was that I could cut background shapes for 12x12 layouts. Here are a couple that I did this weekend.
For the Beach layout, I used this phrase shape, then inked the edges of it. I also made an outline of it and then used the negative space to make the patterned paper seem to outline it. The shells are stickers that I have had in my stash forever.
On this layout, the title, as well as the fire fighter emblem were cut with the Cameo. I think I got the journaling stamp in the dollar bin at Michaels. The little fire department ID came with the outfit that my son is wearing in the picture.

Friendship Mini Album
I had this mini album kit from We R Memory Keepers forever and finally used it to make for my 12 year old daughter. For her birthday this year, she had a sleep over at our house. She wants to fill the album with pictures from that night. How fun and tweenish is it? Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

Hoppy Birthday!
Laurie's youngest has a birthday coming up next week, so I altered an Altoids tin to hold a gift card for him!
The frog was cut out with the Cameo and then I dipped him in UTEE that I melted in my melting pot. The sentiment is a from Pink Stamper. Patterned paper, google eyes and metal flower are all from my stash.

NEW MOON CANVAS
This is not the usual for this blog, I usually just post this over on my Craftytwilightmom blog but I figured I'd toss it up here too. My daughter absolutely loves the whole Twilight Saga stuff and her room is filled with all kinds of Vampire and Twilight-ish stuff and she is definately Team Jacob, who is this cutey guy/wolf.

MAY YOUR TROUBLES BE LESS AND YOUR BLESSINGS BE MORE....
and nothing but happiness come through your door!!!!!
Happy st. Patty's to all of you! I hope everybody has a great time celebrating this fun holiday. Be sure to be safe and if you hit the Irish Wiskey... hit it hard, but make sure you have a designated driver to get you home safely! Here is a card my sister in law Maureen sent me. I just think its adorable with the checkered bottom and the shamrock paper is too cute too!

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE DRESS (er) LOL
Here is side step card I did. I saw an idea like this and it was for a baby shower so it was all done up like a cute lil baby dresser. This was easy to cut and fun to decorate. I made it for a good friend. I used paper from DCWV Rustic Paper pack and I got the brads and stickers from my stash. , I messed up on the punch on the bottom left and the bottom right punch should be bigger to go across the entire dresser bottom but it's all I had to work with.. LOL. The lil piece of red on the bottom left under the key is a mistake. I had something else for there but it was better in theory, but when I pulled it off.. DANG the paper started to rip, so on went the key.. LOL . I may try again with a different theme, we'll see

Two Sweet
Here is a two page layout I did at a recent crop. It's just filled with some pics of my kids when they were young. I have BOXES of picutres! I got the layout idea from the Creative Memories Nancy O'Dell page planner set. Because I have so many older pictures, and it would take me a lifetime to sort and put in order, I figured that I just want to do simple collages with them and fill up a couple of scrapbooks. This page planner set is a MUST. I used pre-decorated paper from a kit I had, but I do like the scalloped edge look with the faux stitching, so I may use that idea for future pages.

SPRING THINKING!
These are some incredible step cards that my sister in law Maureen did. She is from Illinois and was here for a visit. She brought these to show me and they are so so nice. Unlike the one that I did, she put paper on both sides of the step folds. the flowers are pre-made strips called LA PETITES by THE PAPER STUDIO. They are amazing. She bought me the yellow one. I can't wait to use it!

FUN! FUN!
Another page that I did at a crop last weekend. I used the pre loaded cartridge that was in Laurie's E2. I love the font! I did them a bit bigger than I should have and had to put the letters on a bit weird, lol. But it is what it is so I am embrasing it.. LOL. This is a fun place we visit in Saco, ME. called Funtown, Splashtown, USA. It's and amusement park and water park all in one.. it's a blast!

BATHING BEAUTY
Here is a layout I did of my daughter from a few years ago at York Beach, Maine. It is our home away from home. We have been visiting and vacationing there for years and years. My inlaws actually live down the street from this beautiful beach.
I didn't do too much to this layout. a few glittery stickers from my stash and a strip of paper cuttlebugged in divine swirls. I stuck a ribbon across with a metal embelly that says Beach. I really wanted to show off her poses. She was pretending she was doing a photo shoot, it was cute as heck. Look out Sport Illistrated!! LOL.

Scrap Organizing
Happy Friday!! I have been on a mission to organize my scrap room (or the scrap-attic, as my kids call it, since that is where it is). My wonderful hubby, for my birthday, tore apart the closet in the room, stripped the paper, painted it and put up awesome shelving.
My DD and I took a ride up to her fave store, Five Below where I found these cool clear bins. I love that I can just look and see what is in them. I may still label them, just because I love playing with the P-Touch labeler.
I got this black shelving unit from IKEA (online - I still need to take the drive to check out the store in person!). 12x12 albums fit perfectly in this unit. I already need another one. They are stackable, but I am not sure that I would trust them stacked in my old, crooked house. They are very heavy and sturdy!
I also spent some time organizing my paper. I already had these 12x12 drawers, but I had scraps and whole pieces of paper mixed in together. I cleaned all the scraps out so that now all that is in the drawers are nice, clean full pieces, sorted by color. You can also see my Clip It Up bars that keep my stickers and other packaged embellies organized. the file cabinets are filled with miscellaneous "stuff:" and really need an overhaul, too. But hey, if I can't see it ..... ;)
All my scraps wound up in 12x12 storage boxes that are under my table, but I don't think they are going to stay that way for long. Laurie has all her scraps in a tote that has separators like a file folder. I may have to steal that idea. I had no clue how many scrap pieces I had! I will be going to those for cards and embellies before cutting up any full sheets! One other thing that I have done is sort my rubons by theme and put them in a hanging file folder (red and white bin under the table).
I think I am almost done with organizing ... maybe there will be some actual scrapping in the scrap-attic soon!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Magical Memories
Last summer, we took our first family trip to Walt Disney World. I am just now starting to scrap it, with the goal of having it all done before this year's summer vacation. It is a lofty goal, as I took over 800 pictures!! Here are some of the first LOs that I have done. I am trying to keep them simple and clean. I found this great collection of sketches for 4x6 photos from Easy Scrapbook Sketches that I am using for some of them. I will share more as I get them done!
