Halloween Mini Altered Board Book

It's that time of year again!! I LOVE Halloween!! I have ever since I was a little kid. So, when the gals over at Boston Scrap Fanatics decided to do a Halloween mini swap, I was totally in. We each got paired up with another person. I know the person that I got loves vintage things, so I HAD to get the Graphic 45 Happy Haunting 8x8 stack and chipboard embellies for this project, even though I have a TON of Halloween stuff already. Just ask Laurie. We kind of went on a Halloween binge a couple of years ago and split the haul. Hee hee.

I started out with a plain white board book, like this one, but mine has 14 pages including the covers. I did mix in some other papers from my stash with the G45 papers. I tried to put some kind of interactive element on each page. I drew a lot of inspiration from the Halloween mini that I got from our friend Rhonda over at Scrap Happens. I need to take pictures of the album that she sent me, too - it is awesome!

This whole album took me a couple of weeks to complete because I could only work on it here and there. I hope my swap buddy likes it as much as I like creating it!

Twinchies????

Good Morning!!  I hope everyone had a great weekend!!  I wanted to show you some "twinchies" I did for a swap that I am in. I am not even sure what twinchies mean, but they are so darn cute.  My theme was winter and they have to be 2x2.  How cute are these?  I joined the swap over at http://www.crafthappens.net/  Kel turned me on to this super fun blog that has a ton of swaps and a bunch of talented folks!  You should go on over and check it out.

Thanks for stopping by.  On Wednesday I will show the AWESOME Halloween mini album that I got from my extremely talented friend Rhonda over at http://scraphappenswithrhonda.blogspot.com/  She just stared a new challenge blog as well, so go on over and check her out.

Happy Birthday Card Take 1...........

Good morning Everyone!!

Here is a card I made for our very close friend, Susan.  Susan, Kel and I are all the same age. I am the oldest of the three of us because my birthday is in May.  Susan always says on my birthday, you are older than me!  So I thought I would make a card with her age on it.  After all we are now the same age, lol.

My recipe:

Close to  Cocoa StampinUP! paper for the base
Tim Holtz Paper is the pink
Perfect Pearl Pen
Ribbon and Twine from my stash

I am sure she will get a kick out of this.

Happy Anniversary

Happy Monday!!  I hope everyone had a great weekend!! Sorry for the lack of posts last week, between the three of us we didn't get much scrapping/card making in!!  Dawn went to an all day crop on Saturday so she has some pages to show us, I am sure!!

Here is a card I made for my hubby for our 19th Anniversary.  I went to You Tube and figured out how to make this card, with all the cuts. I don't even know what is called.

I finally got to use my Designer Calendar Cartridge for September and 18 and shadowed them. All the paper I use was from my stash, woohoo!!

Have a fabulous Monday!! And thanks for stopping by!!

Another Birthday card

Good  morning bloggers. We are getting ready to batten down the hatches in New England, lots of rain and wind headed our way!! Welcome fall!!

I made this card for my absolute favorite person, and Aunt, for her birthday. I am digging the step cards lately.

For my card I used:

Kraft Paper
DCWV - not sure what stack for the paper that looks like wall paper and the papers on the side, I had them lying around, lol!!

The adorable table is from the Heritage cartridge, I used C'ordinations paper, cuttlebugged it with the wood like folder and sanded it down, I love this looks!!  The flowers and vase are from Sentimentals.

I wanted my Aunt to feel like she was getting flowers delivered to her house!!  I am quite pleased with the outcome.

Thanks for stopping by!! Have a great day!!!

Happy Bird Day!

Happy Monday, fab followers! Here is another birthday card for our wonderful neighbor. I am always in for a good (or bad!) joke, so I love some of My Pink Stamper's stamps. I think the sentiment on this card is from her Punny-licious set. The bird is a Silhouette cut file, which I embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder.  I added a google eye just for fun. Some ribbon, bling, a flower and a brad and it was done. So easy!

Hope everyone has a marvelous Monday!

So relaxing..........

Happy Tuesday!!  I made this card for my neighbor, who also happens to be Kel's sister-in-law.  She LOVES lighthouses and this weekend is her birthday.  I am not even sure what they call this card, a step card?  I went on you tube and found a video on how to make this card.  I believe the woman's name was Patty Penn.

My recipe:

Life's a Beach Cartridge - the lighthouse and the seagulls
DCWV - Tahiti Stack - the paper that look likes sand and added some glitter pen to make it look read
Water paper from my stack - made the waves with my fiskar wave punch

That's it!! So easy and I sure she will love it. I will stamp the inside with a happy birthday saying.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.  Laurie

HALLOWEEN RECIPE SWAP PAGES

Here are some pages I did for a Halloween 6x6 recipe mini album swap at www.crafthappens.net/
I used all kinds of stuff from my  stash and a few items I picked up at AC Moore.  All of the recipe cards pull out so some of them are inserted sideways.  The other sides are done as well but I am still working on them so I will post them this week.  This was fun  to do, I will be sending them off soon.

Junior Prom... one of many pages

I am working on getting the Prom pictures of my son and his girlfriend done.  I have so many pictures I am having a tough time deciding which ones will go on pages!!!

Here is my recipe:
All the papers are from K& Company - Life's a Journey pack
Studio 112 for the tag
Studio G for both the stamps, Dance the Night away and Prom (.25 cents at Michaels!!)
Flowers are from Accent Essentials Cart
Pennant is from the Pretty Pennant Cartridge
The gray cloth is actually my part of my son's handkerchief that was in his pocket. He never used it and I thought I would put it on the page.

Here is  a card I did for one of my parents at the school I work at.  Her child is leaving my room and she gave me a card with a gift certificate inside for a free manicure.  I thought it was sweet, so I made her this thank you.  I used paper from my stack with that fun scroll pattern on it and I forget where I cut the hand from.. LOL.  I used my gypsy and forgot to write down which cart. it came from.. LOL. I added some fluffy ribbon and some ink to it too.
