Happy Anniversary

Happy Monday!!  I hope everyone had a great weekend!! Sorry for the lack of posts last week, between the three of us we didn't get much scrapping/card making in!!  Dawn went to an all day crop on Saturday so she has some pages to show us, I am sure!!

Here is a card I made for my hubby for our 19th Anniversary.  I went to You Tube and figured out how to make this card, with all the cuts. I don't even know what is called.

I finally got to use my Designer Calendar Cartridge for September and 18 and shadowed them. All the paper I use was from my stash, woohoo!!

Have a fabulous Monday!! And thanks for stopping by!!

Another Birthday card

Good  morning bloggers. We are getting ready to batten down the hatches in New England, lots of rain and wind headed our way!! Welcome fall!!

I made this card for my absolute favorite person, and Aunt, for her birthday. I am digging the step cards lately.

For my card I used:

Kraft Paper
DCWV - not sure what stack for the paper that looks like wall paper and the papers on the side, I had them lying around, lol!!

The adorable table is from the Heritage cartridge, I used C'ordinations paper, cuttlebugged it with the wood like folder and sanded it down, I love this looks!!  The flowers and vase are from Sentimentals.

I wanted my Aunt to feel like she was getting flowers delivered to her house!!  I am quite pleased with the outcome.

Thanks for stopping by!! Have a great day!!!

Happy Bird Day!

Happy Monday, fab followers! Here is another birthday card for our wonderful neighbor. I am always in for a good (or bad!) joke, so I love some of My Pink Stamper's stamps. I think the sentiment on this card is from her Punny-licious set. The bird is a Silhouette cut file, which I embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder.  I added a google eye just for fun. Some ribbon, bling, a flower and a brad and it was done. So easy!

Hope everyone has a marvelous Monday!

So relaxing..........

Happy Tuesday!!  I made this card for my neighbor, who also happens to be Kel's sister-in-law.  She LOVES lighthouses and this weekend is her birthday.  I am not even sure what they call this card, a step card?  I went on you tube and found a video on how to make this card.  I believe the woman's name was Patty Penn.

My recipe:

Life's a Beach Cartridge - the lighthouse and the seagulls
DCWV - Tahiti Stack - the paper that look likes sand and added some glitter pen to make it look read
Water paper from my stack - made the waves with my fiskar wave punch

That's it!! So easy and I sure she will love it. I will stamp the inside with a happy birthday saying.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.  Laurie

HALLOWEEN RECIPE SWAP PAGES

Here are some pages I did for a Halloween 6x6 recipe mini album swap at www.crafthappens.net/
I used all kinds of stuff from my  stash and a few items I picked up at AC Moore.  All of the recipe cards pull out so some of them are inserted sideways.  The other sides are done as well but I am still working on them so I will post them this week.  This was fun  to do, I will be sending them off soon.

Junior Prom... one of many pages

I am working on getting the Prom pictures of my son and his girlfriend done.  I have so many pictures I am having a tough time deciding which ones will go on pages!!!

Here is my recipe:
All the papers are from K& Company - Life's a Journey pack
Studio 112 for the tag
Studio G for both the stamps, Dance the Night away and Prom (.25 cents at Michaels!!)
Flowers are from Accent Essentials Cart
Pennant is from the Pretty Pennant Cartridge
The gray cloth is actually my part of my son's handkerchief that was in his pocket. He never used it and I thought I would put it on the page.

LOL.  I used my gypsy and forgot to write down which cart. it came from.. LOL. I added some fluffy ribbon and some ink to it too.

CANVAS

Here is a canvas I made for my dining room.  It is 12x6 I got the inspiration from the one that is pictured below.  I am not sure where it originated, I got it from Pinterest. This was as easy as Paint, cut, glue, modge podge.. LOL.  It was fun to do, the fun part is that its just all freehand cuts no machine needed

Here is where I got my inspiration :)

FUN FALL WREATH

I whipped up this little fall wreath just fooling around with the Gypsy.  I was looking for some fall things for my classroom.  Then I saw this wooden wreath in a pile of scrap stuff and decided to decorate it.  I put it in my front hall for now.

BREAKING DAWN CANVAS

Here is a canvas I did for a swap that I am in at CraftHappens.net.  This was a partner swap.  We  each did one for each other and mailed it off.  I hope she likes this.  I used acrylic paints on a 12x12 canvas. I added some flocked patterned papers from DCWV.  I added some T. Holtz brads and K&Co. bling.  The paper under the picture is tissue paper I Modge Podged to give it almost a wet look.  I used a set of texture brushed from Close To My Heart to "dab" some gold paint here and there. I added some "dripping blood" to the sides using my MS punch.  It's funny, we both chose the same quote from the movie without knowing.. LOL.

Sweet Baby Boy Card ..........

We had a shower in work for one of the women I work with.  She is having a boy and his name is going to be Jake.  Kel made me the cutest side step card earlier in the year, I thought we should do this for this card.

Kel came over and it took us almost 3 hours to complete this card. The measuring, the cutting, the perfect placement (it was after all going to be viewed by many ladies, so we were seeking the perfect look).  We were very pleased with the results. We used Creative Memories Stork Cartridge.  Isn't that little monkey hanging just the cutest!!

Have a wonderful day!!

TAYLOR SWIFT CANVAS

Here is a fun canvas I did for a teacher leaving our school.  She absolutely LOVES Taylor Swift.  I used an 8x10 canvas.  I used a sponge brush with some acrylic paint and just went with the flow.  I used some tissue paper and torn paper in the upper right and lower left for texture and I used a stencil, (right of the flowers) to add some fun.  I added a few flowers, metal flowers, brads and bling to shine it up a bit.
