This is a little late, but this is a card that Laurie made for me for Mother's day.  I just ADORE coffee.  I'm definately an addict, LOL.  She made the cuts from the My Kitchen cricut cart.  I hope all mommies had a great day!

Super cute shadow box me and Laurie  did for  teachers appreciation week.  Super adorable and easy peasy!  I picked out my paper and glued that down then added 3-D stickers and puffy letter stickers and thats all folks. With coupons I think it costs around $9.00.

A Beautiful Card By Laurie

I just had to show off this beautiful card that Laurie made for me as a thank you note. The deign, the colors, the embellies are all just too delicious!! I know she created the flower centers with her new fun Epiphany Craft tool. She will have to tell us the rest of the deets on how she made it!

This Calls For A Toast!

With all the weddings, graduations and baby showers coming up for June, I needed to make some congrats cards. Inspired by a card that I saw at Cutcardstock.com, I got this awesome stamp set from CardzTV and got to work. I am always one for a good pun, so I love this stamp set!

The base is kraft cardstock, my favorite for card making. The toaster and bread are Silhouette Cameo cut files. The patterened paper is very old and from my stash. I embossed the toaster with the Cuttlebug Spots and Dots folder and then inked all the edges. The slice of bread is actually patterned paper that looks textured - also old and from my stash! The google eyes are from my stash (it is a running joke between Laurie and I that we can never find our google eyes when we need them!) and I drew the little smile and faux stitching and inked on the blushed cheeks. I added the little stick on pearls for some dimension.

Simple, but cute and punny!

If you don't like the New England weather ....

.... just wait a minute!!! Good morning, fab followers and Happy Wednesday! This week is just flying by and the weather here in New England is doing its usual crazy dance. We have gone from snow flakes in some areas over the weekend to an expected heat wave in the 90's starting tomorrow. It sure has been extra crazy around here, too, with baby showers, graduations, birthdays, sports and just life stuff. But, we are making memories for us to scrap, so yay!

I thought I would share a few more LOAD513 layouts with you today. I am so proud of myself for keeping up with it this time. If i can make it to Friday, I will have created 31 layouts for the month! I am going to take a picture of the whole LOAD stack when I am done. Of course, don't ask me what my scrap room looks like right now! The best thing about LOAD513, besides finishing all those LOs is learning that I CAN take an hour out of the day somewhere just to be creative. I am definitely going to remember to try to do it more often for myself, once LOAD513 is over.

Here are some recent LOAD513 LOs and the prompts that inspired them:

Bubble Boy:
Prompt: the movie "PSYCHO" (I thought about the shower scene and knew I had tubby pics)

First Trip To Fenway: (my fave so far)
Prompt: CANDLESTICK(I thought - Candlestick Park>Baseball> Fenway!)

Good and Bad Pirates:
Prompt: CONFLICT

Rivercats:
Prompt: MISS SCARLET(I went with the color of the uniforms)

Tand Soo Do:
Prompt: SELF DEFENSE

This Boy Can Sleep Anywhere:(this one cracks me up!)
Prompt: WHERE

Thanks for looking and have a great rest of your week!

Happy Friday and LOAD513

It is finally Friday - hooray!! It seems like it took forever to get here this week!

I have been playing along with Lain Ehmann's LOAD513 (Layout A Day - May 2013) and thought I would share some of the LOs that I have created. I have kept up so far and the LOs are not masterpieces, but they are done! I hope I can keep it up and have 31 pages done by the end of the month!

So, the theme of this LOAD is the board game "Clue". Lain gives a prompt every morning that you can choose to follow - or not. Just getting a page done a day is the goal. I think it is fun to read the prompt in the morning and then spend my day daydreaming about what page I will create that night (when I should be working!) Here are some of the pages and the prompts that I have done so far:

WHO (as in who dunnit?)

MRS. PEACOCK (use the character or color as inspiration):

MODUS OPERANDI (what is someone's MO?):

THE WRENCH (use a tool, scrap about a tool, etc):

I am having so much fun and will share more LOs as we go along!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

BFF Birthday Presents

Happy Thursday, fantab followers! Sorry that we have not been keeping up with posting lately, Life has just been crazy busy for everyone. Hopefully, it will slow down soon and we can get back to crafting!

Yesterday was Laurie's birthday and, as promised, here are a couple of goodies that I made for her to celebrate.

This easel card is a Lori Whitlock file that I got in the online Silhouette store. The paper is about 100 years old from my stash (I think it was a very old Spring Stack?) and the flowers were actually a present to me from Laurie last year! The sentiment is a Bazzill chip topper, also from my stash. There are two brads (although you can't see one of them here) that hold the card in standing up position when it is opened.

This mini chipboard album is also by Lori Whitlock and is from the Silhouette online store. I was super excited to find out that Silhouette had their own chipboard to cut! It is just a little thicker that cereal box cardboard, so I doubled up on it for the covers. I used papers from my stash and a Tim Holtz clock on the front cover. Each page is actually a pocket page with a tag, so there are lots of surfaces for pics and embellies. I kept the embellies to a minimum, so Laurie can choose the theme of her album.

These were lots of fun to make and give to a great scrappy friend!
