Welcome to Graduation week.......Day One

Good Morning Blogging friends!!  This past Saturday Kel had a graduation party for her daughter. Well you all know how crafting minds think, we all went into overdrive and had great fun with banners, decorations, cards and even a present!! We will showcase our work all week.  Hope you enjoy it!!!  Also, if you comment everyday you will be eligible for a fun little prize!!!

Here is the present (and bag it went in) I made for Kelly's daughter. She loves, loves owls.

I started out with a plain white frame from Michael's in the clearance section for $4.99 plus a 25% off coupon. Plus the plain white bag.  Kel told me Amanda's room was teal and zebra, so I went with the teal.

I used the following:

Quick Quotes Powder Puff Chalking Ink, Blue Hawaiian to ink up the white frame and the owl.
Create a Critter for the Owl and all her cute little parts cut at 5" the branch was cut at 2.50".
WR Memory Keepers White Out Collection - the polka dot paper
Twine was free, yes free!!! I order some other colors from Anniespaperboutique.com and they threw in the teal and white twine with my order.  It worked so perfect!!
Locker Talk Cartridge for the Graduation cap, cut at 3.25"
Letters and numbers came from Don Juan cut at 3"
Cuttlebug Forest Branch folder for the owl and the branch.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to stop by and comment each day this week to be eligible for a fun prize.

My Puppies

Here is a fun page I did of our dogs. I still call them puppies!  Our Golden is almost 11 and the German Shepherd is 2 (so technically he is still a puppy, although he doesn't look like one)

I have to say I used nothing but my stash for this page.  Kel was over a few weeks ago when I did this page and she was sitting next to a set of draws that I keep some of my embellishment in and I ask her to hand be the pet draw, well if you could have seen her face, priceless.  I pulled what I had left in that draw and got busy. I had the brown circles punch for something else and just threw then on.

Have a great day, thanks for stopping by!!

Tropical Thank You

It has been feeling so tropical here in New England lately that when I had to make a thank you card, all I could think of was a nice sunny beach and this is what I came up with!

The sand dollar was cut with the Silhouette Cameo
The palm trees were stamped with Versamark and then I added embossing powder and melted it with a heat gun
The adorable brads and ric rac were in my stash from a long ago swap

We will be entering this card in the Anything Goes challenge over at http://blog.docerelashop.com/. Please go check out her very cool stamps! (Thanks, Carri!)

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

Baptism Card

A friend at work just had a christening for her grand-daughter. When I saw this file in the Silhouette online store, I knew I wanted to use it to make a card for the baby. It was so easy!

I cut the first layer out of some off white, textured card stock, then I cut the base layer out of SU! Whisper White. I used my Xyron 510 to adhere the two layers together. Unfortunately, this left a lot of glue residue on the edges of the top cut out layer. I brilliantly decided to use this to my advantage and sprinkled the entire card with a fine glitter! All the places where the glue was showing was now all sparkly! I added some iRock bling to the card, stamped "Congratulations" on the inside and it was done! A sparkly, girly card for a beautiful baby girl. :)  We are going to enter this card in a challenge we found out about from our blogger friend Jessica of http://chick-n-scrap.blogspot.com/  (her work is amazing) the challenge is at http://creativeinspirationspaint.blogspot.com/

CLASSROOM FUN!

We post the children's birthdays up on the wall and have fun doing them each month or so based  on the season or theme we are discussing. Here are some yummy ice cream cones!  I cuttlebugged them with divine swirls to give them a yummy look!  the cones are cuttlebugged with a waffle type pattern, I forget the folder name.  The bright colors make them fun too!

COLLAGE PAGE PLANNING

I finally got a scrap day!  WOOHOO.  I pulled out some old pics of my families camping days and decided to do a collage page

I cut the trees from the CAMP OUT cricut cartridge at 2" by 6"
The inspiration for the layout came from the CREATIVE MEMORIES Page Planner book. I LOVE THIS SET.. it comes with the book and the templates.
It gives you step by step directions on 5 different templates.  It even gives you the sizes to cut your pictures which is a plus I have lots of boxes of old pics to go through and lots of collages to do, and with this system, it'll be a cinch!

RAK - Day three

Hello again!  I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!!   Here is ANOTHER thank you card I had to make.  This one is for my son's friend's Mom.  She is also a photographer and took pictures are her house of all of the kids on Prom night, then put the pics on CD"s for all of us, so sweet!!

Dawn's card had more a vintage feel, withe the colors I chose. I wanted a more modern feel for this one.

I use all the same cartridges and Stamp set - just different colors and you have a totally different feel.

Heritage and Accent Essential Cricut Carts
Swiss Dots Cuttle Bug Folder
Recollections paper for the car itself.
My Creative Time Stamp Set - Teen Tiny Greetings

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

It all started with a Random Act of Kindness.......

Good morning everyone!  I hope you all had a great weekend.  The weather was perfect here in Massachusetts!!  I wanted to share a bunch of cards I made that all came from the card I received from Kelly.  I received the top card from Kelly just because, and I just loved it. I had it sitting on my scrap table, and I thought, I have a ton of Thank you cards I need to make, I am going to scraplift her idea (with her permission of course).

So throughout the week I will show all the different ways I made this card.

This one was pretty simple, I used:

StampinUP Not Quite Navy cardstock
Divine Swirls Folder
StampinUP Tag Punch Set (I love this set)
StampinUp Ribbon
Fiskar's punch along the bottom of the card, hard to see because I wrote the card out before I took the picture.

Have a great day!!!
