Here is a card I did for my niece who just bought a new home.  I pulled everything off my Gypsy so I don't remember which cartridges I used, lol.  The paper is a  little pack of paper I got at A.C. Moore.  It was $1.00 and it came with 8 sheets of pattered paper.  It's called Retro Kitchen.

Tim Holtz Alterations Pocket Watches and Steam Punk Folder - I used Steam Punk for this one, I love the look.
DCWV Core'dinations paper, sanded of course

Hello and happy Thursday!  here is another card I did for a friend that is recovering from quad bypass surgery. Ouch!   I thought that this would cheer her up.  the papers come from Pebbles Inc., Share and Tell "party time girl" 4x6 creative pad They are great little stacks to have on hand.  They come with 30 sheets of paper and 4 sticker sheets.  The strip going across the middle is from the sticker sheet.  I just free hand cut the kite.  I added some white faux stitching too, but it's hard to see with my horrible photography.  Eh, it's 6:30 a.m. here in Boston, lol.   My eyes are not focused yet.. LOL.  The get well soon is from Beyond Birthdays.

Getting ready for Dad..........

Happy Hump Day! So happy its Wednesday. That means we are so close to Friday and the loooong weekend!  I really need that day off!

I started working on my Father's Day Cards. I wanted to get ahead of the game, then I realized I have two birthday cards I still need to do by Friday! Ooops, I guess not ahead of the game.

I made this card for my hubby, he is such a handy man, he can fix anything!!  Here is my recipe:

StampinUP! Stamps - Tool Time and Nuts and Bolts
DCWV - Tattered Time Paper (that tis the glossy gear paper, I got this stack from Dawn, love it!!)
The base of the card is also DCWV Core'dinations paper.  I used this for the mats of the tools as well.

I used sandpaper on anything core'dinations, give it that rustic feel.

StampinUP Ribbon and close to Cocoa Ink
Happy Father's day on the inside is from Father's Day Cartridge cut at 2"
The hardware is Hodgepodge from StampinUP.

Have a great day!  Thanks for stopping by!

Good Monday morning to you all!   Here is a card that I did for the director of the school I work at.  During Teacher Appreciation week she brought the staff in some incredible donuts, coffee rolls, muffins and coffee.  S I thought this little note was a nice way for us to say thanks.   The cuts come from the Beyond Birthdays cartridge and he papers are from the Linen DCWV stack.  Have a grand day!

More Pa Pages (I have a long way to go)

Here is a fun page I did of Pa and his Granddaughter.  She is very artistic so I wanted to give it an artistic feel.  Each heart is a chipboard heart, covered in different mediums.  One is Mosaic tile, the other is twine and the other is paper with modge podge over it.  The word PA was cut from the Heritage Cartridge.

Get Well Card

Hello Everyone!!  I hope everyone is having a great week!  I made this card for Dawn's hubby.  He loved it and I was quite impressed when he asked Dawn if there was anything she needed from the card! Warmed my heart, she has taught him well and he listened!!

The get well soon is from Beyond Birthdays cart and all the paper is from plaid and polka dots from DCWV.  The ribbon is StampinUP! Not quite navy.

Have a great Wednesday!  I can see the weekend from here!!

Over the hump........long way to go!

Sorry we have been MIA!  Crazy days lately.  Dawn's hubby was in the hospital for about a week and he finally came home today.  He still has a long road ahead, but he is one strong dude and he has a great support system!!!

I made this card (with the help of Kel) for Dawn to help lift her spirits.  Dawn's mother-in-law was an avid crafter and we inherited a lot of her awesome supplies. I wanted to use some of them on the card, to make it special!  The gorgeous blue paper is from Noni's stash as well as my most favorite stamp, ever!!  The keep smiling it from My Creative Place!  Love those stamps.

Please keep Dawn's hubby in your prayers for a speedy recovery!!

Working on an album for Pa!

Hello everyone!  Anyone that has been around our blog for a while knows that "Pa" is my Dad and he makes cards and scrapbooks!  He also makes awesome doll houses!  Well he is turning 70 in June and I thought what can I get the guy that has everything?  Then it hit me, he loves, loves taking pictures and he posts a ton of them on Facebook. I snuck on and downloaded some of his pictures and I am going to make him an album!!

Here is with his Mom (94 years old, when she passed about a year ago) and his grandson, my nephew. This will be page 1.  Only 19 more to go!!

For this page I used:

StampinUP! Not Quite Navy Card stock
The blue paper and the circle are from a pack I bought that was already cut into shapes.
StampinUP Permanent Parade for all the stamped banner
Missing You Stamp and the Tag (its a die cut, sooo cute) is from My Creative Time, love this!!
The letters are from Tim Holtz Alternations - Typeset
The flower is most of my stash, except the bottom silver layer, it is a cupcake holder that I cut!  I saw that trick in the Scrapbooks Etc. Magazine!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Good morning everyone!  I thought I would share a Mom's day card I made for my sister. I made one for my aunt as well using the same patterned paper but as you will see tomorrow is is quite different.  My Mom passed away quite a long time ago, I think of my Aunt as my surrogate Mom and I love my sister to bits, so she is getting a card too.

I used the following:
White card stock
DCWV Spring II Mat Stack 4x6 - word paper and the blue and green paper
Recollection is the Charm
Designer Calendar for Mom"s Day
Bling from my stash
Inked the edges and done

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Going back in time.

Hello Everyone!  Hope you are having a good week!  I can see the weekend from here!  Here is a page I made of my grandparents. I had these two pictures of them and I decided that even though they were taken the same year (one 1956 and the other 1966), I would use them on the same page.  I really wanted to give this a vintage feel, so I stayed with muted colors.  The paper strip going across is from 7 Gypsies, their stuff is so awesome.  The clock and flower are from my stash. I sandpapered the clock to give it weather look. The ticket is Tim Holtz.  Have a great day!!  Thanks for your comments!!

Love is in the air...........

Here is a lovely card my sister in law Maureen made me for my 26th wedding anniversary.  I just love getting her cards in the mail because she always does such a great job and it really is nice to send these handmade cards to friends who really know the efforts put into it.
