The Graduate

Here is a fun and super easy Graduation card I did for my boss.  He just finished up his MBA, so I thought I would whip him up a card. I had some trouble coming up with a masculine card, so I turned to YouTube.  I am pretty sure it was  the Pink Stamper that I saw this card on. I tweak it a bit, well we did, Kel was in the scrapcave with me again, so we had a few laughs and made this.  The graduation cap is from the Cricut Cartridge, Locker Talk, as is the word Grad inside the card.  Divine swirls folder was used on a gray metallic paper.  We inked the inside of the folder with a light blue ink, ran it through the cuttlebug.  I had this beautiful, ribbon, almost like twine that we used.  Kel came up with the great idea of making the tassle look real, by cutting them with my Tim Holtz scissors, they really do work well.  I am giving this to my boss tomorrow.  I will let  you know his reaction.  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Act of kindness

Wow wee! In my work we have a lot of lunch business meetings. I am in charge of ordering the lunches. Well we order a lot from Panera Bread (great food).  We always deal with the manager Susan, she is an older Irish woman, straight from Ireland with the brogue!  She is such a super sweet lady and so great to work with. As a thank you for always ordering from her, she came to our work yesterday and gave all the Executive Assistants flowers for Administrative Day. I thought that was so sweet of her. I wanted to show my appreciation by making her a homemade card.

I used an old, old DCWV stack for the pink patterned paper, the pink card stock is coordin'ations. The flower is from a stamp I bought in the dollar bin at Michaels. I used Pink Stampin UP! embossing powder to make the flower pop, of course my favorite pearl pen for the pearls on the bottom and my super favorite crinkly ribbon and a fiskar's border punch.

I hope everyone has a great, great weekend and gets some crafting in!

Slowly, But Surely!

Another Disney layout to add to the album. I am getting there and am determined to meet my self-imposed deadline of having the album done by this year's vacation!

For this one, I used a Jana Eubank sketch that was posted as a challenge over at Boston Area Scrap Fanatics:

I cut the circle from shiny metallic paper using this cool shape from the Silhouette online store and my Cameo. The faux stitches are rub ons. I have had that Jolee's carousel embellishment forever, waiting for *just the right* layout. The quote is also from a vellum quote stack that I have had forever. Feels good to shop your own stash!

Our Golden Love

Here is a fun page I did of our Golden Retriever, Lightning (yes his name is Lightning, my oldest guy, when he was 6, loved Thunder and Lightning storms and gave him is name).   He is going to be 11 at the end of the year and he is the most sweetest dog ever. I love this picture of him. Everything I used on this page is from my stash, I am so happy!!  Happy Tuesday!!!

New Edition

Good Monday (yet again) Morning Ya' all!!  I had to share my new shelf, aka the Cricut station with you. I was in Target the other day and I was looking for a new shelf unit for the scrap cave.  I found this one and it was $35 and I put it together myself, no tools necessary!!  Can you believe it, I didn't have to wait around for my hubby to put it together.  I found the green baskets and the pretty green lamp at Target too.  Took my a whole day to get my scrap room in shape for the the new shelf, but well worth it. I love how it fits my cricut, the mats and paper!!  In the little draws I have my cricut tools, markers and some cartridges.  Have a great Monday and thanks for stopping by!!

Cooool Rider

Hello Scrappin Dudes!!  LOL  Here is a page I did of my son, who is now almost 17, when he was about 5. Boy did he love this motorcycle. He would ride it for ever. We were always charging those batteries.  I really layered this, stared out with a 12x12 piece of green card stock, then I cut down a Coordin'ations 12x12 to 11 and sandpapered that up, then a 12x12 DCWV Argyle Green, from the Guy Stack, cut that down to a 10.5 x 10.5.  I got a little crazy. The tickets (I love me some tickets) are from Tim Holtz.  I cut out Cool from the Paisley Cart at 1.75" then shadowed it.  The word Dude is from EK Success letters that I had in my stash.  Another easy page.  Have a great day!!

Thanks a Bunch!

Good morning!!  Here is a card and that Kel and I did, sometimes it takes two!!  I made this for Dawn and her family for the gift they gave my son for his bday.  The frog and his super cute lily pad are cute from Create a Critter. We ran the frog through the cuttlebug, I believe Mosaic Folder.  The lily pad we ran through the cuttle bug too, but I can't remember the name of the folder.  Thanks a bunch comes from My Creative Time, love, love her stamps.

Looks who's 12

Good Morning everyone!!  Sorry we haven't posted in a while. Life keeps getting in the way.  Here is a page I did of my son, he just turned 12.  Kel showed me this cute little trick to using twine!  I cut out the number 12 on craft paper and wrapped in in twine, and done!  Such a cute look. One of friends sells stamping up and I bought some stuff!!  The Party this way is from you guessed it, Party this way stamp set. I stamped it and used embossing powder and heat embossed it and cut it out. The balloons are from the same set, so darn cute this set is.  Easy, quick fun page!!  I hope everyone is staying cool, we hit a record 88 today.  Poor runners of the Boston Marathon!!  Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Wishing You All ....

... a Happy and Blessed Easter! Here are a couple of cards that I made for my mom & dad and my godmother. The cute little peeps card was made at a shoe box swap that Laurie, Susan and I went to last week. I think all the stamps are from Close To My Heart. The little basket of eggs is a Stampin' Up stamp.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and gets to enjoy the holiday with family and friends!

Cook-Off

My older brother came up with the fun idea of having a family cook-off.  I thought, what better way to have a party!  So our food for the 1st Annual Cook off was to make either Chili or Mac and Cheese.  Let me tell you the food was amazing.  I wanted to make a poster welcoming the guests, off course I didn't have any poster board, and thought of this idea at 9:00 the night before the event.  Kel came over and helped me make this 12x12 "poster" .  We thought it looked so cute, and let me tell you the laughs we had with this, so much fun.  I also added  a few pictures of my kitchen, kind of looks like my scrap area.

We used From my kitchen cartridge for the pot holders, the pot and the plate and fork and knife.  The letters I believe were from a letter cartridge, the name escapes me right now.

I hope all is well with everyone and thanks so much for your awesome comments, they meant a lot to us Massachusetts Gals!!
